Yesterday for Thanksgiving, my family went to Piccadilly for lunch. I really liked the food. We ate veggies and all the sides. We are all vegetarians,do recommend this to people that are too! Everything was very fresh and there service was good! They had a variety of desert choices too! There pecan pie was AMAZING! There apple pie pie was good, but it was kind of cold. There chocolate cake was good too! They also had someone playing the piano and it was very nice. Thanksgiving lunch was great yesterday, at Piccadilly's with my family.

Cheap fast good cooked meal! The ladies are always so nice! We have Piccadilly To Go about twice a month and we never complain ! Now sunday morning is THE BOMB. It's serve yourself breakfast, make your own omelet and pancakes all for one price ab $8-9 a person! We go on Sunday mornings all the time! Now take it, Piccadilly isn't fine dining but It's well worth it's price!

Was looking for a quick lunch and saw the 4.99 lunch special on the sign. Got in line and obviously didn't pick up the special. All total it cost 2 adults & 1 child over $40 for greasy chicken, cold fish and salty vegetables. Never again.

"Hospital food is a clear winner over this place"! I went here in a pinch because I have never tried it and wanted a quick, hot meal (that was not fast food). Honestly, I would have done better at the fast food chain on either side of this establishment and probably would have spent a lot less money. Upon walking in, it was nice because there was actually a lovely gentleman providing live music in the dining area. I got in line, chose my food and sat down. Unfortunately, my daughter and I could barely finish what was on our plate... $11 spent was a complete waste! My daughter was still a bit hungry, but I felt terrible about feeding her this low-quality food! I would dine in a hospital cafeteria before coming back here any day of the week! My thoughts... are 'what in the world, did I just experience'? Please, do not waste your time and you are better off going to a surrounding fast-food chain... you may even do better getting food from a gas station. This place was a huge disappointment!

We always make it a point to visit Piccadilly when in Louisiana. It is a family tradition. So when we invited my aunt out to eat she insisted that we go to Piccadilly. Now we know that all Piccadillys aren't created equally. As a matter of fact the last time I was in Louisiana my cousin took me to one in New Orleans that turned me off from Piccadilly. But I must say that this Piccadilly renewed my faith. Now as is the case with Piccadilly some dishes are hits and others are misses. Fortunately you can pick and choose, mix and match. All of us (my two aunts and I) chose different options and we all enjoyed our food for the most part. There were some dishes I didn't finish, but my main dishes were good. I must say that what impressed me most was that the food was relatively fresh for a buffet (unlike the one in NOLA) and the staff was super friendly. They treated my 85 year old aunt like a queen. This really lifted her up because she doesn't get out to eat much. Not sure why the ratings at this location are so low, but we had a nice meal with lots of options. I wouldn't eat here regularly, but it is nice to know that Piccadilly is still around.

I have gone to this Piccadilly almost weekly since I started working nearby. Today, I had the worst dining experience after finding a bone in my food. The bone is a bad enough sign of lack of quality management, but the service after the fact was the worst part of the whole experience. After telling waitstaff, he walked off with my plate to tell "someone" and he never returned. 15 minutes later, fed up, I got up to walk out. As I paid for my meal, I told the cashier and her response to me was extremely rude. I doubt I will return to this location!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. $45 for dinner for 3 is ridiculous for the very poor quality of food and inept preparation. I can't imagine ever coming here again when I can get better quality food at a charity soup kitchen run by nuns and better tasting food at any local hospital.

For many folks who grew up in BR, there is a little nostalgia when it comes to eating at Piccadilly. The rest of us visiting folk would simply look at this and call it a Cajun cafeteria or a Southern canteen. I can't say the food is all bad, but a lot of it isn't exactly good either. The positive take aways are few and far between the negative ones. For starters, the staff has always been polite and courteous, from serving the food to answering the phone. For a cafeteria, the place is rather clean yet I feel like I'm eating at a college campus or something - only instead of students, I see a lot of senior citizens. I'm told the prices are a little up there from over the years, though I didn't think my $11 tray of one item, two sides, and a drink were too overpriced. But its possible this meal was $5 back in the day. My first bite of my jambalaya would've made me think it was no more than $5 to begin with, since it was bland with a capital B. The rest of the choices weren't much more appetizing: buttered corn was a bit dry, jalapeno corn bread was also dry, and the broccoli with cheese was nothing short of underwhelming. The fried chicken was decent, but when only 1 dish out of several get a passing grade, that's when the thumb starts pointing down. At the very least, for all the times I've hit up Piccadilly throughout BR, i've always been guaranteed one good thing: A nearby parking spot (in a consistently empty lot).

Was a regular patron of this establishment (Essen location) for at least 10 yrs. until we found a bug in my wife's greens and then was treated ( by manager) as if we did something wrong. So we never ever ate there again.

Wonderfully nice staff, and a cafeteria style serving line which dishes up comfort food quick. It's not high cuisine, but is an easy way to get home style cooking at a very good price. Much better than fast food, and there are many healthy choices. Go old school, go to Piccadilly!

I usually do not review a place I rank lower than the best except when a place suddenly fails. However, these cafeterias are a horror. Not all the food is bad but the pervasive tone is of stale salads, overcooked or over heated vegetables, over breaded fried foods, and stock desserts. I do not understand why these places remain in business..They do have great sfaff. I wish I could rank this chain less than zero. It is that awful. I avoid dining here.

I hadn't had Piccadilly in years & my fiancée wanted to go... Sure why not! We walk down to the very end in awe at all the yummy looking food & suddenly I see something crawling so fast by the food... Thinking it was an ant, I look closer & to my surprise it was a ROACH... Not a water bug but a roach! You know, the kind that references a nasty kitchen! Yea, that kind! So totally disgusted, we walk out... I tell the cashier, she acted shocked & we decided to definitely eat elsewhere!

Just terrible! Hated the food. The place is clean, cafeteria setting...pricing is fine, staff is nice. I just remembered this place being the shit when I was little and I moved to NJ, recently moved back to BR and the nostalgia made me come back to this restaurant. Big mistake.

I have dinner here for 40+ years. About 10 years ago they stopped making everything from scratch. That WAS homestyle food and it was good. Now it is all frozen food from a box. I can get the same from a grocery store for 1/3 the price!
